Siyayinqoba Beat It! Live

SIYAYINQOBA BEAT IT! LIVE!

Siyayinqoba Beat It! Live utilises a live-to-air format, where viewers can call in or SMS spontaneous, unscripted questions and comments to the hosts. The show is hosted by community treatment literacy experts, Busi Maqungo and Zolani Barnes, in English and IsiXhosa, with some Afrikaans elements.

Like its well-established studio counterpart, the live programme delivers current, relevant information on living with HIV/AIDS to its Cape Town audience.

Siyayinqoba Beat It! and the new Live edition provide reliable, scientifically based information to people living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, family, friends, care-givers and health workers. The project is intended to enable its audience, regardless of status, to respond positively to the impact of the epidemic in their lives. It uses the media of television and video to overcome the language and literacy barriers to understanding HIV/AIDS information.
